Ruaha National Park - Day 3
This is my penultimate safari day -- and wow -- we had a fantastic morning drive. We watched a lion pride for hours -- sleeping, playing, and eating (after a failed attack on an impala, they fortunately found a dead impala -- and ate it).
This pride has 14 lions -- we saw 10 of them -- 6 females and 4 medium-sized cubs. 2 small cubs were hidden away the whole time, and the 2 males were off sleeping somewhere else -- they didn't even come over to eat.
For the afternoon drive, we went back to see if they were still hanging out at the riverbed -- they were -- mostly sleeping. We hoped that they would get up and go for another hunt -- but no such luck. The next day --- they were gone.
This is a different pride than the one we saw yesterday. ☺

Video alert: (1) none, (2) lions eating an impala (kind of gory)
Not the best photos today -- a lot of shooting into the sun and on sand.
